About the event
“SUAH African Drum & Dance Exchange” (SADDE)’s mission is to produce an annual event that will uplift and strengthen the residents of North Carolina and the surrounding communities. By the way of artists of West African culture, music, song, dance, and health, SADDE is created to show the physical and mental well-being benefits of African drumming and dance to the local communities , to grow our youth, and to encourage healthy living through the Arts.
“SUAH African Drum & Dance Exchange” (SADDE)'s vision is to provide a platform for local, national, and international artists and scholars to exchange their knowledge, and pass down the rich principles and traditions of Africa to the surrounding communities. SADDE looks forward to growing Greensboro, NC and bringing more visitors/tourist to this region to see all the fantastic things this area has to offer. SADDE will provide the residents with the opportunity to practice the unique culture and lived experience of international African artists and scholars through drumming, dance, and healthy cultural living.
